The 24-year-old allowed three runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings while striking out eight. The big left-hander has had success against the Red Sox before, allowing one run on three hits over seven innings while striking out six. Of the current group of Red Sox, only Mark Kotsay has ever recorded a hit against him.
