currently we have comcast and they are really trying to flex there monopoly arms on us. we had 2 appointments to get the tv, phone and internet package
installed, and they have rescheduled our appointments twice, with no notice.
what makes it worse, they told us our house got hit by lightning so our phone lines are not good, and they wanted to charge us 33 dollars per hour to run new lines. They said the only way to avoid it is to pay 4 dollars per month for the insurance package.
so last night they called us and canceled our appointment again, so that was enough for me. i started looking at verizon and they have direct-tv as their service.
So i tried to call them, and as them this question, but the guy didnt know the answer
direct-tv has a premium package which has all the sports channels, FSN, NESN, etc. Being a huge Red Sox fan i saw nesn and almost fell out of the chair. My question is, since it has nesn on there, do they black the channel when the games are on. the only reason i ask this is because for an additional charge, they offer the MLB extra innings package, which is basically the same baseball channels that are offered in the premium channels.
now the premium channels are cheaper and offer more (including movie channels) then the mlb extra innings package, so i am thinking they probably block out the games
does anyone have the premium channels with nesn, and when the red sox games start, are they blacked out?
(PS i dont live in an area that typically gets NESN, which is why i ask)
