Tek was voted in by the players, coaches, and managers. Perhaps they feel his intangibles are much more important than many people here do.

Unfortunately it---like the Gold Glove- has become a popularity contest. At no time this season has teK done anything statistically measurable that would warrant a place on this All Star team. Any vote cast for him was based on something other than what I have always perceived as to be the reason to vote for an All Star. |

Are players that clueless in their voting? Someone hitting .218 should never be an all-star unless they are a pitcher.
Tek should come up with a reason and stay home to think about how to hit better.
