Patti, thanks for the community message. I never would have read it otherwise. Rest in peace, Peggy. You will be missed. I took this picture at the
first Remy Game - Mother's Day 2004. Sorry if it too large.

Thanks for the photo, Linda. This is very sad. What I remember most about Peggy was her wonderful compassion for animals and her great enthusiasm for the Pats.
Can someone copy and paste the obituary in this thread? The link I got didn't work. I guess if I could remember her last name I could look it up for myself
in the Globe.

Jesus, that's sad. Back when I posted a lot, she was a very active member and a very passionate Red Sox fan. I never met her, but I feel like I knew her
well. She was an animal lover, which makes her a good person in my book.

How sad. I remember how excited Peggy was when she got her rescue dog and her love for the Pats and especially "the hoodie."
I'll paste in the obituary, and here's the link to the Globe obituary http://www.legacy.com/BostonGlobe/DeathNotices.asp?Page=LifeStory&PersonID=109947148 where you can also sign a guestbook. Joan

This is shocking, and have to take a minute to log on and throw some thoughts on this. Peggy was an absolute character and one who I know I am going to miss a
lot. She was always there for you when you needed it and there wasn't anybody more fun to watch a game with at Fenway. I know the last few months have been
different without her and Phil, but that's not why I chimed in. When she was here she just had a way to make you smile or laugh. Still remember the great
Remular chats each night with her and that's one thing about this message board is we all have become family and I feel absolutely horrible and I
couldn't believe when Patti contacted me and let me know, my first thought is this has to be a joke there is no way. I know we did this in the past when
Phil's brother passed...are we planning on sending flowers as a board, because if we are I will definately send a check up North to whoever sets it up.
Peggy you're going to be missed, and I know that atleast this pup was able to learn a lot from you and I can never thank you enough for that.

I second the motion for a memorial, perhaps to the requested charity. New England Wildlife Center, 500 Columbian St., South Weymouth, MA 02190 I like that the Sox swept a double-header yesterday. She must have loved that where she is now watching from.

I will miss Peggy greatly. Chatting with her even made bad games fun. This is from my first playoff game which she took me to last October. We had some good
times at Fenway. I know she is there in spirit. I third the memorial donation.

This is such sad news. I haven't been on the board much in the past few months and wasn't aware that Peggy had been "absent" from posting. I
had so much fun chatting with her about her animals. She will be greatly missed and my sympathy goes out to her family and friends. A true loss for Red Sox
Nation.

I also will miss Peggy. Having attended a few games with her, I can say she was a character! Thanks for posting that picture that was the first time I met her
in person.
RIP, Peggy. Dee PS I will also contribute.

"I remember sitting behind the Pesky pole with Peggy at my first game in over 30 years back in 2004.
I will always remember Peggy when I see "Peggys Pole" I am truly shocked to hear this news." I'm posting this from another board from Phil Cindy VTHERDSMAN Thank you, Cindy. Phil's thoughts are appreciated.

I got an email, as did Patti from Peggy a couple of months ago that she was sick, but asked that it wasn't shared. So I am sorry that we couldn't give
more of a heads up but you have to respect someone's wishes. I just am very surprised that was as sudden as it was. Peggy will be remembered as being
strong-willed, yet compassionate. A lover of animals to the nth degree and a very intelligent person.
She now has the best seat in the house. R.I.P. remular. Sue

Margaret Margaret Margaret --I as with the rest of the remulars will miss you dearly----to have known you personally makes hearing this news even
harder----I knew Peggy was having health issues from our e-mails but this was not what I expected to happen at all....she was a very compassionate
friend.....and Phil and I would try our best to get her age out of her ----it was a game with us and bless her we never knew til now and I agree 62 is way way
too young. Peggy or Margaret as I would tease her with we will miss you ---and we are that much better to have known you and shared the fun here on the board,
in chat, and especially at Sox games. Thanks too for posting her pictures-----and the memories they bring back. May you be at peace.
James as she would call me

Just a sidenote...just knew someone wouldn't be able to resist even at a time like this. Although Peggy was no longer a member of the RR she still
communicated by email to many people here, including myself and Patti. If my last email from Peggy had a sentiment regarding her feelings for her friends here
at the Remy Report it was that she missed them. She was more forgiving than many people.
One of our last times in chat, Peggy and I talked for probably better than an hour about my sister and an incident that happened to my son. I will remember her sincerity and compassion that night forever. The RR is a MB it is a "place" where we all met. Many relationships extended because of it. There have been ups and downs. Breakups and makeups. Just like any other relationship. Peggy took the high road after she was no longer around the pound. Something that did not go unnoticed. I think Peggy would be happy to be remembered by all her friends here. You meant alot to her and I would guess she would tell anyone that is throwing darts to put them down and just respect and remember the good times. R.I.P. Thanks for the heads-up Patti. I would never have known without your message. Sue I totally understand the position you were in, and know that it must have
been difficult for you. I pray that Peggy has found her sanctuary now, and will enjoy the rest of her life in peace.

You are so right, Sue... Some of our best conversations - both on the phone and in chat/IMs - revolved around furkids of all kinds. Since I work with dog rescue groups, I remember trying to help her find the perfect "Big Dog". I am so glad that she finally did... Jim, we who knew the "joke", all had a laugh over reading her age today. I think she would have liked that... Here's to you, Peggy - a final Merlot toast...

zimmerolls wrote: Thanks for stating this so well, Sue. Never will I forget the long nights you, Peggy and myself spent in 2003 old Yahoo chat. My sanity was saved, or maybe not! So many close friendships on tis board...so much hapiness and tragedy over the years. I also visited with Peggy when she worked in Braintree many times. While I knew Peggy was having health issues, I never expected to read this in today's paper. I hope there are lots of dogs and cats and rabbits and every other living thing Peggy cared so much about in heaven. We made sure all were contacted today. If not currently on this board, an off board email was sent to anyone whose address I had. Yes, please leave the darts elsewhere. Rest in Peace, Peggy.........

I too received an email from Peggy a whilel asking for privacy and out of respect for a great woman, we all did as she asked. I hadn't heard for her in a
few weeks and was getting worried. I hope she went quickly, and peacefully. She did mention to me that she ws worried about finding homes for all of her
animals.
To my friend, Thanks for your humor, words of encouragement, and wisdom. You will be missed. Bonnie
