Chicago is a Cubs town. It's been that way for a while and it will continue for a long time to come. As a fan, I'd rather go see a game at a nice park
in a safe neighborhood than hang out on the South Side of Chicago.

The Cubs are the "Brittany Spears" "Pop" team in Chicago.
The White Sox are the Led Zeppelin/Pink Floyd "Cool" team in Chicago. The Cubs are a losing organization. The White Sox are a winning organization. Wrigley Field is a dump. The White Sox play in one of the best parks in the majors to watch a game at. How is it that Chicago is a "Cubs" town??? As a Chicagoan, I would venture to say that statement is as ignorant as saying the Yankees are "America's Team".

That's now what I've observed. Everyone I know who is from Chicago is a Cubs fans.
Having been to Chicago many times over the years, I see about 70% Cubs gear and 30% Sox gear. Most people think of Comisky park as the park in the ghetto and Wrigley is in a cute neighborhood.

Well, LIVING here, I see otherwise.
The yuppies like cute cuddly Wrigley field and the losers of loserville, and the CLASS team in the area (besides the Brewers) is the White Sox. Not many sane Cub fans I know of around here.

Why would the Sun-Times cover the Cubs more than the Sox then? I know the Tribune owns the Cubs, but Reinsdorf owns the Sox.

Who gets more media coverage-- Brittany or Led Zep?? There's your answer.
