Hot Dawg Posts: 1234 03/31/08 6:20 PM Hot Dawg	Tags : None Sorry I just have to vent, I tried at Christmas at Fenway...nothing. I tried the lottery...got Yankees in second chance , but wanted Opening Day. So I cave and check out Ace/StubHub. Holy tickets Batman. There are so many tickets selling for ridiculous prices. My question is how did this happen? I want to go to Cinci without buying packs, but it is now the cheapest option and much better seats. Hey I can make friends selling tickets. Sigh. Is this just a sign of the times? Can an honest person get tickets without agencies?

Hot Dawg Posts: 1700 03/31/08 6:33 PM Quinnipiac Dawg	Not anymore....since the Sox got rid of what I thought was a great idea, and something i used the rare times i had to buy a ticket, in Replay...but since they decided to sell their collective ticket selling soul to the devilish Ace tickets there is no control what so ever and now only the wealthy can go to games unless you are lucky enough to win lotterys, an actual lottery so you have money, or got a pax at the start of the season. This is definately a sign of the times and is really the only drawback to having a winning ball club who has now won two championships within the last four years...added to the fact that Fenway is so small there is a shortage of tickets. There are two solutions to the problem...have the Sox go a few seasons where they dont' win ball games, I don't think any of us would want that to happen. Or is it finally time for a new park, I mean a nice 50,000 seat stadium would be great. ~Chaggy RIP Peggy...the Remdawgs will miss you.

RemDawg Posts: 9927 03/31/08 10:36 PM RemDawg	As someone who actually owns season tickets (to a hockey team) and looks to sell about half my tickets, I don't have a problem selling tickets to the highest bidder. It's simple supply and demand and right now Fenway could have 80,000 seats and they would sell out most nights. _________________ Green Monster 1947 - 2002. RIP
