There's a real nice article in the NY POST on this event. It's worth a read by any baseball fan. Also people complain about George Steinbrenner, but
you have to admit the guy for all his bluster has got a pretty soft spot in his heart. From the article:

We may not like what he has done in MLB etc but the guy is generous. He donates quite a bit to the Jimmy Fund every year if I am not mistaken.
