It's great to be back in Spring Training. I hate the off season
as I'm sure most of you do. Here's hoping for another great year of baseball between the Sox and Yanks. Rivalry at its best. It's even better
when the owners get involved. You gotta love it. Anyway hope to come in here throughout the year and banter or Yawky Tawky with you all. I invite you back to

As it so
happens the administrator of this site asked me to join this joint venture, and I thought it was a good idea. I like talking baseball. If there is a spot
like this one where fans of opposing teams can rationally discuss baseball and/or their respective teams I'm all for it. As for the youngsters, I think
both teams have a good base of talent. It was smart on both Theo Epstein and Brian Cashman's part not to deal away part of their teams futures for Johan
Santana. Losing Schilling is going to be tough, because the guy is a veteran who knows the ropes, and now you have to hope Josh Beckett's back isn't
going to be a problem. It only takes a couple of key injuries to start the year off slowly. The Yanks ran into that last year, and never caught up. Almost,
but not quite. I agree with you about the Tigers. Getting Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis was huge. Throw him in with Verlander and the rest of that staff and
they are going to be tough...very tough
