I consider Peter Gammons to be the most insightful traditional baseball voice in the game of professional baseball. As you know, Gammons is a good friend of Theo and was the first major traditional baseball writer/analyst in America to give much credit to how the Oakland Athletics/Boston Red Sox where successful by employing a complex blend of sabermetrics/traditional scouting into their baseball operations. Let's not forget that he picked the Sox at the beginning of the season to win the World Series as well as at the start the playoffs.
In lieu of the previous statements and his incredible track-record of projecting players' careers, I believe the following predictions Gammons made last night about the young Red-Sox players will become true.

John Lester will gain 4mph on his fastball and will be a dominant number 2 starter in this league.
