In this modern era the RS really need to rethink that legacy policy that reflected a very different era. In this day and age with this RS ownership group do we really think Yaz would have retired here? Should Boggs number not be retired? Slightly off topic but the policy of retiring a RS is very dumb.

Of course it is and those who think not in a way are under estimating Roger to think he isn't working the process.

That said I think Roger is seriously considering not coming back and that part is not working the bidders. He has VERY little left in his tank. He knows his place in history and part of it is that he has not stayed around too long. Rumors are his body hurts. While IF he works he will get every penny he can for it, he does not NEED the money.

I still think that if he plays he most likely plays with Houston and their place in the standings may not mean as much as some think.

First of all they have come from no where to make the playoffs both of Roger's years in Houston, so what can he gather in May about their chances? Also, rings he has, but love of the game is not just glory, it is playing. He can play anywhere but only in Houston does his home life remain in tact and he does get to display loyality (for once in his career) to an organization that has been good to him and just happen to have on of his "K's" in their minor league system.
