You know I don't usually read him for a reason. But every once in awhile I click on a link of a title that catches my eyes...and guess what I'm reading him. The latest was a Crisp bashing. Nothing new. Nothing that hasn't crossed our minds. But there is a systematic embedding of negativism by these two reporters over the last few days by Edes and CHB that tells me that they have it "out" for him.

"And a Nation waits and wonders." Yes a Nation waits and wonders how such a sports town could have such zero's like you and Edes on the baseball beat.
"Crisp didn't want to talk before the game. Approached in the clubhouse while reading a magazine at 11:30 a.m., he declined a request to be interviewed."
Duh? Would you want to talk to you or Edes? I don't think so. Why would you give a dragon more fire? Maybe you could say that Coco wants you and Edes to read between the lines. He wants nothing to do with you guys. When you got nothing to say you stir the pot and quite frankly I thought (in a weak moment) I might be clicking on to an intelligent article about the guy.
Fact: guy looked like he was going to have a fantastic season in 2006
Fact: guy got hurt on an aggressive slide
Fact: guy came back early to help the team
Fact: guy should have stayed on the dl and had surgery
Fact: guy came to ST and strained his muscle
Fact: guy didn't "lose" the spot to Lugo he never really had it since going on the dl
Fact: guy is intelligent enough not to talk to you guys
I think it is pretty entertaining that "The last time he said anything to writers, he made some odd remarks" Well, Dan he probably says the same thing about you guys...hmmm the last time I talked to those reporters they wrote some odd remarks.

Oh and we'll be yelling extra loud for Coco.

He bashed Curt on Monday and took a run at Dice-K yesterday; maybe he's just going through the lineup one by one. He's got to be the most negative writer around and I don't know why I read him, maybe because despite the smarminess, he's a good writer. But how quick was he to jump on the bandwagon after 2004 and put out a book? No wonder the players don't want to talk to him, what does he expect?
