Jerry has been playing host to Wally AND his body double for the past several years. Since Wally never gets to spend time with the fans, Jerry thought it would be a good idea to send Wally's body double on a summer excursion to visit Red Sox fans around the country.
Here is how it will work:
**If you would like to be a Wally host, please post your name to this thread. Give me your first name and leave an email address. I will get in touch with you (when it is your turn) to obtain your mailing address and other information. NOTE: if you are not comfortable leaving an email address in a post, please email me at tshorty@verizon.net with your email address, full name, mailing address, and a phone number. Please put WALLY in the subject line.
**If we get Wally out right away I figure he can vist 24 or 25 families during the season. I will close the forum when we hit 25 names.
**Jerry will carefully package up Wally's double and mail it to the first recipient (which has already been chosen ... Zimmerolls!).
**Along with Wally will be his official travel papers to be filled out. These papers will include a space for your name, home town, and anything of interest while Wally was at your house.
**Please show Wally the sights around town and we encourage you to take pictures of his adventures! You can post pictures in the Wally forum, email them to John for the wesite, or even send one along to the next person!
**After 5 days, you will mail Wally and his travel papers to the next person on the list (from this thread). I will get in touch with you to furnish the name/address of the next recipient. Shipping must be paid for by the sender, so please only sign up if you are willing to do so.
That is it! Jerry will discuss the travels of Wally's double on his website, in this forum, and possibly during the broadcasts. By the end of the season he may possibly have gone around the world!!!
Please do NOT post in this thread as I would like to keep it as a sign up list only. There will be another thread set up for folks who have the Wally to post. Again, you MUST give me an email address in the post so I can get your name and address. Do NOT post this personal information on the message board.
As soon as we are ready to roll I will let you know. In the meantime, I am moving the thread that Sue started on the idea (great idea Sue) in here for anyone who wants to give feedback. Again. please leave THIS thread to sign up only!
