Defense gets burned early and is not able to hold them late and Patriots are down by 7 after the first set of plays (highly unusual this year).
Now we get the ball... WOOF

Down 21-16 after the first half. Still not worried, however. This team almost always improves in the second half.
Giants have played well. Go Pats WOOF

I'm hating this game
(and I can't stand the commentators) The Giants are playing out of their heads; hope the Pats can come back. Joan |

Tonight we move to 17-0 and Mercury Morris can climb back under the rock he has been living under for the past 30 years.

No - only *2* to go.
They have to beat the Chargers/Colts in the REAL Super Bowl, then they have to beat the NFC champ on the *other* Super Bowl. |

Chargers it is! Peyton looked chokey today. Have to give your props to San Diego with their QB coming out, they still managed. Gonna be a very long winter for Peyton.
Sue Sorry to ask this--did we just win ANOTHER World Series?

Pats have proven they can beat anyone under any condition...including not having their A-game. The Chargers are not (IMO) as much of a challange as some of the teams they have faced recently. There is NO reason why the Pats should have a tough time in this one.

I thought there were also several bad calls against the Chargers in that game. I think Boomer said that on the post game for CBS.

The Patriots should be able to beat the Chargers.
But now with the Cowboys out of the picture (thank God) it begins to look like a Patriots-Packers Super Bowl - which would be the REAL Super Bowl after all. In fact, having been a life-long Packers fan, it's the only possible scenario in which I would cheer against the Patriots, and also the only possible scenario in which the Patriots could possibly LOSE IMO! |

There is no scenario left in which the Pats can lose unless Brady goes down. They have and will dispatch the Chargers and they will handle Brett and his gang in two weeks. Great factoid is that if the Pats go 19-0 they will have beaten every playoff team except Seattle, Tampa and Tennessee (whom they did not play). This would have to be considered the best season in NFL history for a team. The 17-0 Dolphins only beat three playoff teams (all in the playoffs). The Pats will have beaten the Chargers twice, Colts, Packers, Jaguars, Giants, Steelers, Cowboys, Redskins and the Browns (who would have been in the playoffs any other season). Just one amazing season.
