I'm an AI virgin, watching for the very first time last night. I'm not sure how I managed to stay away quite so long, but I do have to admit that I was entertained for the most part. I'm not sure if I'll be able to hang in there for the duration though.
Wasn't that guy creepy that sang that stalking song to Paula Abdul? Was his name Paul? Can you say weirdo? Then there was that sparkly girl..now she was one angry young lady. Between her and the Star Wars chick, it was a toss up as to which one was more obsessed. |

Out of all the guys, I liked the kid, David Archuletta, the best
What did y'all think? No Beatles songs? The major 60s group? Joan |

I think that Chikezie (sp?) will be gone, as well as either the Moon River dude or the Elvis dude.
I liked the dude with the dreadlocks - he has personality! I also really liked the 2 performances you mentioned - David and Micheal, and the guy who did "Happy Together." Let's hope the ladies bring their A game! |

Yikes, the girls are pretty bad. There was so much great girl group music in 60s, especially from Motown, that some of the song choices really puzzled me. The Shadow of Your Smile? I liked the little girl that did the Dusty Springfield number. And the Spinning Wheel Number.

Apparently Amanda scared more of America than just you, Joan! lol... I thought her performance this week was better than Kristy's, but Kristy has the
hotness factor working in her favor.

Amanda didn't scare me, I just got sick of her. It seemed like she was screaming the same song every week. And like the Elvis kid she really got sort of
smug with her ownself. I was ready for her to go.
I like that Michael kid who did Queen in Hollywood. He was terrific! He just needs to get back to the same level. Anyone else going nuts with Dancing With the Stars and American Idol overlapping? It will be such a relief when baseball is back and there aren't any choices anymore!

I'm liking David Cook he has been growing on me.
Mario froN dancing with the stars gave a concert at my school this week. The kids won the contest by texting the radio station hot 106 more than any other school during Feb vacation week. Mario and 2 girls came ro sing. The kids were awesome and well behved and we are talking almost 3000 kids in the gym. Dancing with the stars was there to film and so my school Durfee High school may be mentioned on dancing with the stars this week. (I work there not a student) DEE

skyeblueyes wrote:Ditto!!! I agree with Harleybuc about the Billy Jean number. When I heard the opening notes I thought "uh oh", but he really pulled it off. Kristy Lee was saved for another week. Why is Ramiel still there? And I don't even have the words of how horrible Jason Castro is. What kid in the year 2008 thinks dreadlocks are fashionable? Joan |
