Welcome to the Sox / Yanks forum!
This forum was started to open up the dialog between Sox and Yankee fans. This is by far not only the best rivalry in baseball, but possibly the best in all of sports. We are passionate about our teams and we live and die by each game. On any given morning in either city, headlines from the tales of Georgie to does Nomar want to stay can be seen splashed about every newsstand. The teams; we love to hate each other. The fans; we live to insult each other.
I personally think that there can be much learned from listening to the different perspectives that Sox and Yanks fans bring to the table. We are by far the most intelligent fans in the game! I think if we put our chants and insults aside, we can actually have enjoyable discussions and passionate debates about all matters baseball.
This forum is here to attempt to do just that! I want to see REAL dialog between the fans on any subject relating to baseball. Our own rivalry, the owners, steroids, contracts, and anything else that comes to mind. We might even find there are things we agree on!
The rules here are easy.
(1) NO INSULTS OR FLAMING WARS! Members will be banned from this forum (and possibly the group) if they do not abide by this rule.
(2) Respect one another. It is MORE than OK to have a heated debate; just stay away from getting on your high horse and thinking you are the only person who is right. This is all about opinions folks!
(3) Have fun!
I am waiting for the invited Yankee fans to join the board and hopefully it will happen soon. In the meantime, feel free to start some threads on topics that you would like to discuss with them.
