Portland, Maine- Portland Sea Dogs right-handed pitcher Scott Shoemaker was traded from the Boston Red Sox today to the Texas Ranger's organization in exchange for left-handed pitcher Daniel Haigwood.
Haigwood was added to the Red Sox 40-man roster and assigned to Double-A Portland. He joins Kyle Jackson as the only members of the Portland Sea Dogs who are on the Red Sox 40-man roster.
Haigwood has gone 35-18 with a 3.43 ERA (182 ER/478.0 IP) in 88 career minor league starts.
