Pedroia hits fairly evenly against righties and lefties right now over .300. The dude is the real thing. I'll leave the Willy Mo everyday argument for another thread. Not spoiling the Mojo.
Dustin is a gamer. He is having a great season after a slow start. Hope he lends CoCo/Lugo some of his Mojo. |

WARNING POST AHEAD REFLECTS AN UNPOPULAR OPINION.
Remember, I warned you. OK, there is something I do not get here. There is nothing in the description of what should be posted here about not calling out a player. While I TOTALLY agree with Kate and disagree with Phil on this kid, I still do not get it. Now, I realize that there are a lot of vibes going on around here about all the negativity, but you cannot be all sunny and bright all the time, even if you do have a good lead.  Like we have always been told, you do not like the negative posts, do not read them. I am having a really bad day and had to get that off my chest. OH YEAH, and this is OT for Jerry, do not make a offer to give away tee shirts if someone is not going to clear the mailbox so you get an undeliverable message. No wonder we are crabby.  Edit to add this from Patti: Individual interpretation of comments is just that, one person's interpretation. Just because a comment is not liked does not mean the person posting it should not make it or that it should not be allowed. As has been stated MANY times, if you do not like a poster's comments don't read them. Believe me there are plenty of comments I ignore. I don't agree with many things but that does not make me right and someone else wrong. PEGGY (get it---PEGGY)

While I was somewhat taken aback by Phil's negative response, I was not offended by it. I am equally surprised that it was deleted, since it contained no offensive or foul language - it was just Phil expressing his opinion.

Use it as you wish; to give a shout out, address a slump, or whatever you want to say (within the confines of board etiquette of course). These are PLAYER threads and not DISCUSSION threads as in the Boston Red Sox forum. If discussion is desired, please use the other forums available for such. Thanks! |

I just heard the story today from Peter Gammons about how he gave up his college scholarship in order for the team to offer it to a player who could pitch.

OK. I posted this the other day, but it didn't show up here; So here goes again. My wife and I both think that Pedroia is an excellent player, and that too
much is made of his stature, and frankly think the "C" should go on his uniform. Unfortunately all of his nicknames refer to his stature, so we have
one we like the best, and use, to purpose to all: The Mighty Atom! Atoms are small, but you wouldn't want one to blow up in your hand!
