The other night in chat we were discussing the possibility of starting an off season book club, abd while we all hope that off season will not come until October, I thought we should get started for those who have the time this summer to read.
It is our hope that we will comment on the MB as well as in chat. Exact details to come
To get us started, I would like to suggest a couple of books.
The Memory Keeper's Daughter, a novel by Kim Edwards
I Feel Bad About my Neck, by Nora Ephron
the Flanders Panel by Arturo Perez-Riverte (modern mystery-thriller)
The Alchemist by Paulo Coehlo
Wicked, Gregory Malone
Now this is just a suggested list and I know they tend to be "women's books", but we want to include everyone. SOme are philosophical (The Alchemist) and some are just plain fun (Neck or Wicked)Please feel free to add or comment on them. There are SO many great books out there.
And we do not want to keep it to fiction, everything is fair game, but we want to make sure that enough folks are interested in the book we choose to make it an enjoyable experience for us!
Feel free to EZ me with any comments or post them here.
Thanks!
