Game 6: April 5, 2008, at Toronto, Buchholz vs Litsch |
Lead | ||
|
Clay Buchholz is the best pitching prospect in baseball. Jesse Litsch averages about four strikeouts per nine innings. However, Boston's using the
B-lineup. In progress

I don't know about you guys, and yes, it's early in the season, but I'm not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling, are you?

It's too early to get any kind of a feeling. But after today, I would be shocked if Corey doesn't go to Pawtucket after the game to make room for
Beckett.
I also question why Ellsbury is not batting leadoff. This offense needs a spark or something, and he provided that at the top of the order last year. I don't know what Francona's afraid of. Oh, and Youkilis is a much better 1st baseman than Casey. And oh yeah, Buchholz cut his spring training ERA in half after just one start.

The Yankees had a crappy start to their 2004 season after going to Japan but they rebounded in the later months to win the division and make the ALCS. The Sox
have a killer April schedule even without the extra trip to Japan.

I am not sure 3-3 is a crappy start. (ask Detroit about crappy). For some reason I thought this was a night game (I was at w%^# and missed it ...thank God for
small favors) Sounded bad. I have to believe the guys are pretty worn out. I hope they get a good night's sleep and Beckett kicks derrière.

Sorry to ask this--did we just win ANOTHER World Series?

Not to mention that we always have a hard time against the Blue Jays for some reason.

Well, I am as guilty as the next person. We messed up on the Game Thread. There was none and game was underway. Billy started it, and tough I LOVE
Billy's Game threads, the loss last night required someone wlse to start today's thread.
OK, we can fix this tomorrow. I have a crappy track record so will deferto someone else. Joan?
