He seems to do a lot of charity work, stays positive most of the time and works like a dog on the mound. From his tv commercial appearances, he seems to have a good sense of humor and not take himself too seriously. Last year it was Tek and his stability for me; this year it's the classy Wake.

Wakefield has epitomized what a team player is, willing to do whatever is necessary for the team's sake. Whether it was pitching three important innings in last year's ALCS Game 3 or pitching with three days rest for the first time this season last weekend, whether it was starting or relieving or both, he has been a team first player. Whenever he pitches, the results can be as unpredictable as the location of his knuckler. But his unselfishness is never in question. I'm keeping the faith in Tim Wakefield being the stopper tomorrow. "I guess I'm never dying in peace, because this feud with the Yankees is much deeper and more personal than I ever imagined. One of 'em, we lost 3-0 - at Fenway. A SHUTOUT at FENWAY!!! Giving up 3 runs should not cost a pitcher the W, with the lineup we have. And yesterday... the D-Rays - 5-1. sigh I didn't see yesterday's game but c'mon, 5-1 to the D-Rays?! Poor Tim. We need to start getting our veteran some run support!
