It's interesting that as of the reporting of pitchers and catchers Tito anticipates the Sox may have 1 roster spot, probably to be occupied by a pitcher. What a nice problem. That does not mean the Sox won't look at other players, nor does it mean they will not acquire another player by trading Coco Crisp. Right now, however, that is how difficult to make the team.
We'll see?

Peter Gammons is without a doubt a great writer. During the pennant race in 1975 his column alone sold more Boston Globes than any other writer, before or since. However, over the years his player predictions have been about equal to Mel Kiper's. It may be because they are both willing to put themselves out there. Not more than a few years ago I read an article (perhaps a link here @ the Remy Report) compiling Gammons "Can't Miss" predictions, which was laughable.

Gammons has to be my favorite sports writer/commentator and i busted up when he went on his rant last night. Theo and the FO would do good to heed is warning...Maby there is a reason Arod has never been to the WS..a team can not succeed when 1 player takes the light away from a team as a whole..the redsox have there own personality's that on other teams might take spotlight away from the team as a whole,

But the sox simply dont let that happin..Manny or Ortiz on Another team could very...
