Free agent Trot Nixon has been working on his defense at first base in order to increase his versatility.

The Red Sox are looking for a left-handed hitter capable of backing up at first base, and Nixon has his agent asking whether they're interested. They'd probably prefer someone with more power, but it's possible they'll consider him if they can't land Brad Wilkerson.

I find this article funny. They are complaining about collusion. Am I missing something? Isn't the fact that agents (Boras comes to mind) come out and say other teams have made offers just a form of collusion against the clubs?
